Bikram Yoga is the original hot yoga. The 90 minute work out is for all levels, designed to improve your physical strength, balance and flexibility. The series features two breathing exercises and 26 hatha yoga postures, practiced in a heated room. Bikram Yoga Richardson is a studio with friendly certified Bikram Yoga instructors. Our comfortable and casual atmosphere is a welcoming place for you to learn yoga, get started on a new health regime, or continue and improve your practice. Bikram Yoga Richardson Studio Wide 60 Day Challenge
Start by January 31st

Make Bikram Yoga part of your daily routine. Get your calendar at the front desk. Sign up for our Yoga Challenge — commit to practicing 60 classes 10 weeks.

RULES & DETAILS OF THE CHALLENGE

  1. Anybody can sign up for the challenge. First timer or pro, young or old, the challenge is for anyone.
  2. Practice 60 days of yoga in 10 weeks. Simple as that! Any class time you like, on your travels make sure you get a receipt proving that you kept up the practice.
  3. Doubles are ok, but not encouraged. Triples are not allowed. Even Bikram says you need to take off one day a week. The idea is to develop a consistent daily practice.
  4. At the end of the challenge you get a FREE t-shirt. When you finish, you may proudly wear the challenge t-shirt.

We're having a studio party at the end of this challenge.

TAGS is a dedicated group of volunteers striving to provide a personalized adoption experience. This dedication goes beyond the adoption to help adopters understand and care for their new greyhound family member.

Talking Yoga with Emmy Cleaves
 

We're so excited to share this audio interview with Emmy Cleaves. She has been practicing Bikram Yoga since 1973 and is the Principal teacher at the Yoga College of India Headquarters in Los Angeles, and Bikram's Yoga Teacher Training (since 1993).

In this interview, senior Bikram Yoga teacher Jim Kallet talks with Emmy Cleaves about the great healing and restorative power of proper Yoga practice, about the physical and mental aspects of Hatha Yoga Asana practice, including it's bio-energetic effects -- how it works. They also talk about her 60 years of practicing Yoga, and her relationship with Bikram Yoga, which she has been teaching and practicing.

AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda
 

Paramhansa Yogananda was the brother of Bikram's Guru. We'd like to share this unconventional biography about Yogananda's life. He brought yoga and meditation to the West in the 1920s. Paramahansa Yogananda authored the spiritual classic “Autobiography of a Yogi,” which has sold millions of copies worldwide and is a go-to book for seekers, philosophers and yoga enthusiasts today. (Apparently, it was the only book that Steve Jobs had on his iPad.) By personalizing his own quest for enlightenment and sharing his struggles along the path, Yogananda made ancient Vedic teachings accessible to a modern audience, attracting many followers and inspiring the millions who practice yoga today.
